在24日的外交部例行记者会上，中国外交部发言人郭嘉昆在回应相关问询时表示，泰国和柬埔寨两国都是中国的友好邻邦，也是东盟重要成员。睦邻友好，妥处分歧，符合双方根本和长远利益。
At a regular press conference on July 24, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun, when responding to a related question, stated that Thailand and Cambodia are both friendly neighbors of China and important members of ASEAN. He added that China is deeply concerned about the current escalation and hopes both parties will resolve the issue through dialogue and consultation.
