柬埔寨格罗麻(水布)

水布是柬埔寨十分普遍的一种布料,一块水布通常长1米、宽85厘米左右,它大概是全世界把一块布的作用发挥得淋漓尽致的最佳代表。水布有20多种用法,可做围巾、汗巾、台布、浴巾……

Krama is a very common cloth in Cambodia. A piece of krama is usually about 1 meter long and 85 cm wide. It is probably the best representative of the whole world to play the role of a cloth to the fullest. There are more than 20 kinds of uses for krama. Can be used as scarves, sweat towels, tablecloths, bath towels...

格罗麻主要是以蚕丝或是棉纱制作而成,有些柬埔寨人会把它包在头上,有时也会缠在腰间用来遮挡太阳或是抵御灰尘。当地人认为是穿戴格罗麻是一种身份认同的标志。


Krama is mainly made of silk or cotton yarn, and some Cambodians wrap it around their heads and sometimes around their waists to shield them from the sun or dust. The locals believe that wearing krama is a sign of identity.


用水布做成的布裙也是柬埔寨传统服饰中最常见的一种,布裙会以颜色、造型、尺寸等分为不同的种类,典型的布裙分为纱笼、围裙和筒裙,最具代表性的有插尾裙、丝织帛裙、凌布裙、仙女裙、垂裙等。插尾裙高贵典雅,曾被上层妇女穿着,不过在20世纪后,插尾裙逐渐成为民众在重大庆典、婚礼等正式场合和喜庆仪式上的礼服。而仙女裙不再是现代人的日常着装,只有在跳阿普萨拉仙女舞时才穿。


The dress made of krama is also the most common type of traditional Cambodian clothing. The dress is divided into different types according to color, shape and size. The typical dress is divided into sarong, apron and tube skirt, the most representative are tail skirts, silk skirts, Ling cloth skirts, fairy skirts, drape skirts and so on. The tail skirt is noble and elegant, and was once worn by upper-class women. However, after the 20th century, the tail skirt gradually became the dress of the people in major celebrations, weddings and other formal occasions and festive ceremonies. And the fairy skirt is no longer the daily dress of modern people, it is only worn when dancing the Apsara fairy dance.

棕糖

Palm Sugar

糖棕果,也可以叫“海底椰”;糖棕果肉可以生吃,也会用糖棕制糖或喝它的糖水。柬埔寨当地农民用棕糖果和棕糖树花汁熬制着名的柬埔寨棕糖,华人又称之为“树糖”。棕糖花汁一一收集好,便须立刻倒入大锅制糖,生火煮热,一直搅拌至越来越浓稠,到了快凝固时,便注入椰子叶做成的模子内,让它凝固成棕色方糖,也就是棕糖。

Sugar palm fruit can also be called "sea coconut"; sugar palm pulp can be eaten raw, and sugar palm is also used to make sugar or drink its sugar water. Cambodian local farmers use palm sugar and palm sugar tree flower juice to boil the famous Cambodian palm sugar, which is also called "tree sugar" by the Chinese. Once the palm sugar flower juice is collected, it must be poured into a large pot of sugar making immediately, and will be heated, stirred until it becomes thicker and thicker. When it is about to solidify, pour it into a mold made of coconut leaves and let it solidify into palm sugar cubes, or palm sugar.

棕糖甜而不腻,营养成分高,比蔗糖富含营养,更属有机食品。采集棕糖汁的每支竹筒容量约一升,每株树每天可收集5至6支竹筒,即产量每天可达5公升。每株柬埔寨糖棕可年产糖液60~100kg,足够三口之家1年的用糖量。


Palm sugar is sweet but not greasy, high in nutrients, more nutritious than sucrose, and more organic food. The capacity of each bamboo tube for collecting brown sugar juice is about one liter, and each tree can collect 5 to 6 bamboo tubes per day, that is, the output can reach 5 liters per day. Each Cambodian sugar palm can produce 60-100kg of sugar liquid per year, enough for a family of three to consume sugar for one year.

木雕

Wood Carving

由于柬埔寨属热带雨林气候,土地湿润肥沃,树木、雨林植被茂盛,木材的质量非常好,名贵树种有黑檀、紫檀和铁木等等。所以,木雕是柬埔寨的传统手工艺品,用这些名贵木材做成的木雕样式独特,通常有着浓郁的柬埔寨风情,具有极高欣赏和收藏价值,得到世界众多人士的欣赏。

Because Cambodia has a tropical rainforest climate, the land is moist and fertile, the trees and rainforest vegetation are lush, and the quality of the wood is very good. Therefore, woodcarving is a traditional handicraft in Cambodia. The woodcarving made of these precious woods has a unique style and usually has a strong Cambodian style. It has a high appreciation and collection value and is appreciated by many people around the world.

得益于吴哥文化的传承,柬埔寨的木雕有着悠久的传统,可以追溯到它的万物有灵论根源:一种对祖先精神的信仰,比印度教和佛教古老,并且与这些宗教共存。木制的神龛和柱子是用来供奉神灵的,佛像木雕通常以极优等的木材制作,价格昂贵但凝聚了工匠代代相传的虔诚匠心。


Thanks to the heritage of Angkor culture, Cambodian woodcarving has a long tradition that goes back to its animistic roots: a belief in ancestral spirits, older than Hinduism and Buddhism, and coexisting with these religions. Wooden shrines and pillars are used to enshrine the gods. The wood carvings of Buddha statues are usually made of excellent wood, which are expensive but embody the pious ingenuity passed down by craftsmen from generation to generation.

贡布胡椒

Kampot Pepper

柬埔寨特产的“贡布胡椒”,在料理界可谓是鼎鼎大名,被誉为“胡椒之王”,深受欧洲厨师的钟爱。顶级的欧洲餐厅及大厨甚至会在菜单上标注使用了“贡布胡椒”来作为一个卖点。除了具有独特风味之外,它还获得了3个国际认证:美国有机标准认证(NOP)、欧盟标准(EOS)和日本有机农业标准认证(JAS),更是让其身价飙涨。

The famous three-Michelin-starred chef, French chef Rollinger once commented on Kampot pepper: "Between the Gulf of Thailand and the Elephant Mountain, the pepper here is moistened by the ocean and rain, and the sense of smell is rich." However, it is worth mentioning that Kampot pepper is not a brand, but pepper produced in Kampot, so please shines your eyes when purchasing.
